Typing Tips
-
Type letters on your phone by pressing your number keys. For example, to
type "b", press the 2 key twice quickly. To type "z",
press the 9 key four times quickly.
-
If you need to type letters that are on the same key, type the first
letter, wait 3 seconds, and then type the second letter.
-
If you have a CLR (clear) key or Back key, it can be used to go Back
and to Backspace. In general pressing CLR or Back will erase the
character to the left of the cursor. If the cursor in on the left
edge of a field, pressing CLR or Back will erase all characters in
that field.
-
To type spaces with most phones press either the # or * key depending
on your phone model.
-
Special characters like "." and "@" can be typed using
the 1 key on most phones. For more symbols select Menu, then Symbols.
-
When typing text, use the shift key (usually the star key or zero key) to
change capitalization.
