Voice Genesis ® Vemail ™ Software Download Instructions
for Select Verizon Wireless Phones


Follow these instructions to download Vemail on your Verizon Wireless phone. Screens shown are an approximation of what you will see on your phone.


On your mobile phone select Menu.
Menu can be selected by pressing the OK Key can be found in the middle of your phone keypad above the numbers. (On some phones the OK Key does not have "OK" written on it.)
Go left to the Get It Now Tab.
Select Tools on the Go or Get Going.
Select Get New.
Select E-mail.
Select Vemail or Voice Genesis Vemail 2.0 or Vemail VoiceEmail.
Accept the $4.99/month.1
Vemail will download onto your phone.

In the future, when you want to start Vemail on your phone, repeat the first three steps above and then select:
Voice Genesis Vemail 2.0
or Vemail VoiceEmail.

1 Costs - In addition to the $4.99/mo charge for Vemail, airtime or data charges may apply depending on your plan.
  • Premium or Vpak - If you have a Premium plan or the Vcast Vpak, you will face NO extra data or airtime charges. If not, see plan details below. (The Vcast Vpak was $15/mo as of 04/15/08.)
  • Alerts - If you activate the Alerts feature, Alerts are text messages and your plan's out of network text messaging rates apply. As of 4/15/08, those with Verizon Basic plans will pay 20 cents per text message unless they have added a text messaging plan. Those with Select and Premium plans enjoy unlimited text messaging at no extra charge.
  • Cancellation - There is no contract for Vemail and you can cancel any time by deleting Vemail off of your phone (Alerts must be turned off at www.voicegenesis.net). There are no partial month refunds.

Verizon Plans Started Before 11/01/07

  • Plans with no Vcast Vpak - Vemail uses airtime (1 minute sending or receiving uses 1 of your plan minutes)
  • Plans with a Vcast Vpak - no airtime or data charges apply.

  • All Premium plans - no airtime or data charges apply.
  • Basic & Select plans with a Vcast Vpak - no airtime or data charges apply.
  • Basic & Select plans with NO Vcast Vpak - sending and receiving data costs $1.99/MB

    • send or receive 30 second voice email: 25KB

      Cost: $0.20/mo w/o Vcast Vpak
    • Medium User - Checks email 1x/wk, reads 10 text email/wk, sends 3 voice & 3 text email/wk - Data Use: 438KB/mo
      Cost: $0.85/mo w/o Vcast Vpak
    • Heavy User - Checks email 1x/day, reads 10 text email/day, sends 3 voice & 3 text email/day - Data Use: 3,030KB/mo
      Cost: $5.89/mo w/o Vcast Vpak
    • Addict - Checks email 5x/day, reads 50 text email/day, sends 15 voice & 15 text email/day - Data Use: 15,150/mo
      Cost is $29.44/mo w/o Vcast Vpak - Get the $15 Vpak!
